Located at the Forge and Furnace Gallery, with Kootenay Forge, Helene Carter creates singular glass “paintings”, by fusing glass powders onto pure copper sheets.
Her inspiration comes from the lake, gardens, forests and colourful characters of the Kootenays. Traditional textiles and patterns also inspire designs, as do the materials themselves; the fluid quality of the melting glass and the metallic shine of the copper.
